How to Customize Your Theme

    How to Customize Your Theme

While picking the right theme for your business is important, to make it truly yours, you want to make sure that you can customize the features of that theme.  Many are not quite sure how to make that happen however, but there are a few places you can go to make changes to your theme.  Let's take a look!

    1. Login to your site's Wordpress Dashboard.

    2. To locate your Theme's custom options, locate the Appearance tab on the toolbar to the right, then from the submenu that appears, select Customize.

    1. This next screen will appear different based on what Theme you have chosen.  But you should see a menu with several custom menus which will allow you to change the header/footer settings, theme colors, layouts, ect.  Once you have chosen your desired settings, save the changes to apply them.

To help make sure your Theme updates successfully across all mobile devices, you may want to make sure your theme is a Responsive Theme, meaning that the theme is designed to adapt to all screen sizes seamlessly so you don't need to setup a new theme just for mobile devices, or install an additional plugin!

NOTE: If you don't see the custom option you are looking for, it is possible that the Theme you have selected doesn't have that option available, and editing the actual code of the theme is required, which is highly unrecommended unless you are an experienced developer.  You may want to look into finding a more suitable Theme that has the functionality you are looking for.
