      How to Make Updates in WordPress

      Keeping security in mind with your website is crucial to making  sure your content is protected.  Part of ensuring your site's security is making sure you keep your WordPress version, Plugins, and Themes are up to date.  WordPress is very aware of this, and have made some very amazing features inside your Dashboard to keep your site current!

      1. Login to your site's WordPress Dashboard.

      2. If there are updates that need to happen, you'll notice an orange circle next to the Updates option on the Dashboard toolbar, and by the section where the updates need to happen.  To make the updates, select the Updates section from the Dashboard toolbar.

      1. The WordPress Updates section will display a list of the services needing to be updated.  In this instance, there are 2 Plugins that need updating.  To update these, you can check the Select All box to highlight all of the plugins and select the Update Plugins button to begin making the updates.

      1. The updates will automatically happen, and when they complete, you will see the successful updates, along with their details below in the updated results page.  You can then select to Return to WordPress to continue updating and building your sites content!
