How to Setup an Addon Domain

One key feature for hosting accounts is the ability to have more than one domain hosted under the same account.  In most cases, the resources required for a handful of domains can be easily handled on one account, so it si a great way to manage everything from one location, and it saves money!  Setting up the additional domains though can be tricky, so let's help walk you through that process as well!

      1. Login to your cPanel account.

      2. Scroll down the cPanel until you come to the 'Domains' section, and from there select the Addon Domains icon.

      1. The Addon screen will have a form for you to complete, which will then allow you to add the domain to your hosting account.  It is important to know that you will also need to purchase the domain you wish to add before it will connect successfully.

        1. Enter the domain name you wish to add to the account.

        2. The Subdomain or FTP Username will be auto generated for you based off the domain you enter. You are welcome to change that to something else if you desire, as long as it has not been used previously on your cPanel account.

        3. The directory root to where the domain will be pointed.  Make sure the path is correct to where you will be uploading content for the domain.

        4. The FTP password for the FTP account associated with the domain.  The password must have a strength of 50 to be valid.
