Transferring Your Domain to Voonami

  1. Verify that the domain is eligible for transfer

    1. The domain name has been registered for at least 60 days

    2. The Registrant contact information has not changed for at least 60 days

    3. The domain name is not in “client update prohibited” status

  2. Obtain the EPP Code:

    • Request the EPP (Authorization) code from your current registrar. This code is necessary to initiate the transfer.

      • Look for a section such as “My Domains,” “Domain Management,” or “Domain Settings.”

      • Choose the domain for which you need the EPP code.

      • In the domain settings, find an option related to transfer or security. This is often labeled as “Transfer Lock,” “Transfer,” or “Authorization Code.”

        • Some registrars send the EPP code to the email address associated with your account, so check your inbox if you don’t see it on the website.

  3. Unlock the domain

    1. Look for a section such as “My Domains,” “Domain Management,” or “Domain Settings.”

    2. Choose the domain that you want to unlock.

    3. Click on the option that says “Domain Details”, “Domain Information”, or similar

    4. Look for an option related to domain lock status, often labeled as “Domain Lock,” “Transfer Lock,” or similar.

  4. Update WHOIS Information:

    • Ensure that the registrant and administrative contact details in the WHOIS record are accurate and accessible.

      • Navigate to the section labeled “My Domains,” “Domain Management,” or similar.

      • Choose the domain for which you want to update the WHOIS information.

      • Look for an option like “Edit WHOIS,” “Contact Information,” or “Domain Settings.”
