How to Add DNS Records For Office 365 in cPanel

Procedure:

Step 1: Verify Domain with a TXT record in Office 365

  1. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to the Setup -> Domains page.

  2. On the Domains page, select Add domain. Type the name of the domain you own and press continue.

  3. On the Verify domain page, select Add a TXT record to the domain's DNS records, then select Continue.

  4. Copy the TXT value shown. It looks like this: MS=msXXXXXXXX

  5. Follow How to Add TXT Records to a Domain
    You may Remove the TXT record from Zone Editor once the domain shows as verified in Office 365 which can take up to 24 hours.

Step 2: Add DNS Records to Have Your Domain Mail go to Office 365

  1. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to the Setup ->Domainspage

  2. On the Domains page, select your domain.

  3. Under DNS Records, you'll see the DNS records you'll need to add in cPanel.
